My Mount Pamitinan Hike

Climbing all the way up on Mt. Pamitinan, Rodriguez, Rizal.

Sitting on Mt. Pamitinan rock in Rodriguez, Rizal.

My first time hiking experience and this place is perfect for everyone. Mt. Pamitinan is just hours/minutes away from Metro Manila. It is the easiest, accessible & affordable way to make your quick weekend adventure in just a half day. This is great start for beginners like me.

BUDGET: ₱ 500.00/person

DENR Hall

Transpo:
🚥Just get a jeepney or an fx going to Eastwood, Rizal from Cubao 24/7 or Trinoma for morning only.
🚥From Cubao, Php 50.00 via Fx.
🚥From Trinoma, Php 50.00 via Fx too and it has a different route.
🚥And you have to ride a Tricycle for php 10.00/pax.

Tips:
💡Bring extra clothes such as slippers/undies.
💡Money 💰₱
💡Extra food & water. (to spend less) 🍞💧
💡Wear sport attire & tough shoes.
💡Gloves (rocks are sharp)
💡Medicine
💡Eat heavy & powerful breakfast.

Your first stop is here, the DENR hall. We registered here and signed a waiver to allow us by accepting the risk of the adventure. We paid ₱ 500.00/tour guide. 5 tourist per tour guide & we're 9 so it's a thousand for one Mountain. And if you want to climb 2 to 3 mountains that's another 500.00 per guide.

So, I did not took a lot of photos. We just trekked all the way up here. This is the 1st stop with a store that you can buy extra water or food just to take break before continuing your long journey. They have a simple snack such as ₱30.00 of a dished Pancit Canton.

This is how it looks like. We're not trekking anymore, we're actually climbing. I'm not sure how many hours it takes up here but we're not there yet.

Mt. Binacayan

This is the first view I've seen after that drastic climb we've made.

The mountain at the background is the Mt. Binacayan harder to climb than Mt. Pamitinan, they say. Oh yeah, I'm wearing a gym outfit but I think it's okay, as long as you're comfortable in what you wear.

 Aghh, cool scenic view

While waiting on a long queue. We stopped for a while to get some rest and took photos on this side of the rock because that rock beside me is the signature place for your pictorial.

One of the risky part of the rock. Believe me, there's no platform or rock beneath where I stand. Yup, so one wrong move, you'll fall hard and you'll be dead. 💪

At last my only good photo on this rock 😎

Mt. Pamitinan Iconic Rock

Mt. Pamitinan Iconic Rock

Together with my lovely, genuine and kind colleagues. A remarkable memory with good people is a true treasure to be cherished forever.

So, we decided to go down for swim. We did not totally reach the summit due to a long queue for another photo shoot. It's weekend though.

I found this place cute and simple. The locals are using the natural resources to make a living. It is not that much for a mini resort but people here are simple enjoying it.

We paid ₱150 for a cottage and ₱30.00 for a dished Pancit Canton. They don't have comfort room,  just ₱5.00 for a dressing room. Some of us just swum to freshen up.

Mt. Binacayan

After the falls, we reached the Marikina River. People visit this place too just to swim. There's a lot of cottages and stores, even a small wet market nearby.

The 2 mountains. There's a bridge on a center connecting from Mt. Binacayan to Mt. Pamitinan.

Achievement for beginners on reaching the summit of that mountain. 🏆

Marikina River in Wawa Dam.

We have to crossed this river because the bridge that we went is way too far from we've gotten out of the falls. A ₱10.00 boat ride per pax.

WAWA Dam

The ruins

Wawa Dam was built during 1909, American Colonial Era for water needs of Manileños.

Finally, back from the start, marked 1:30pm from 5:30am. And we are done. There's a lot of things to be bought here, no worries for incomplete things you got, all you need is money.
And yes, I just spend ₱ 500.00 exactly.
