Experience is the best teacher, and wisdom is the ultimate awakening.

Experience is the best teacher, and wisdom is the ultimate awakening.

Experience is the best teacher, and wisdom is the ultimate awakening. We can sympathize with their ignorance due to their poor critical thinking and shallow comprehension, because being uneducated, slow-witted, or deceived is not always someone’s fault—especially if their condition stems from a poor foundational environment.

They are unconscious victims. They do not even realize that they are. Yes, they may deny it and pretend they are in a better situation, but they are blinded and bamboozled as well.

Not everyone can analyze a theory, because people often hate thinking deeply. Nobody wants to be corrected because they feel insulted. Only fortunate minds can predict the future based on theory. That is how a thesis works—we research, analyze, and brainstorm before we execute. It is carefully evaluated before it is brought into fruition.

When a theory is laughed at or ignored, it is often because people have learned only from bad experiences. You can identify the victims here. Those with this unfortunate level of understanding often end up being wrong, easily deceived, and blaming others. This is mainly the reason why they become selfish toward the suffering of others, as they also lack emotional intelligence. They cannot analyze, and even if they can, they are not willing to grow.

Sadly, some people only awaken through suffering. New knowledge gained from experience is sometimes the only truth they can accept. They may be surprised to discover that the reality they imagined in their fantasized world is far different from the rational actuality. When reality finally hits them, that is the awakening. The more stubborn they are, the harder the universal slap. This can come through loss, death, financial ruin, accidents, life-threatening illness, injustice, near-death experiences, and other events that require heavy suffering.

Still, we cannot consider them unteachable if they eventually become enlightened by it. That is part of human nature. We are not perfect. From the day we are born until the day we die, we continue learning from our environment.

This is one of the main reasons why a child’s personality foundation is shaped by their upbringing and the surroundings in which they grow up. Their circumstances influence how their learning capacity develops. Most of the time, parents are blamed for this, because they are the first examples that children observe and imitate. Yet, children who grow up and become parents themselves can also be blamed if they allow immaturity to continue into the next generation.

This is often called a generational curse. As Robert Kiyosaki said, “Poverty can be passed down.” The ability to learn is the greatest inheritance you can give to the next generation. Unfortunately, many people die without reaching the full wisdom life could have taught them.

But we do not have to wait for bad experiences to teach us. We can observe patterns, recognize destructive habits, and escape the rat race. We can break generational curses—the outdated values and traditions that no longer serve us or bring prosperity in modern times. We can help our children see the world with deeper perspective and open their minds to fulfill their purpose.

In many ways, adults shape the future of children. Yes, it is their journey, but we are their foundation. Only a few can succeed entirely on their own without guidance. So why not start building a healthier and more civilized generation? It is not a heavy responsibility to begin—it is a valuable investment for everyone’s benefit.

Life is a continuous learning process, and the universe keeps evolving. Nothing remains stagnant.

And neither should you.
